Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier aka Booka Shade have been dominating the European electronic scene for over two decades and their sound continues to push the boundaries of the genre. The duo, which started on the Frankfurt scene in the 90s, quickly became famous not only for their unique mix of techno and house, but also for co-founding the now iconic Get Physical Music label. Their latest album 'Link To The Invisible' is the essence of club life. It offers the variety, power and distinctive sonic identity that Booka Shade fans love so much.
Innovators of the electronic scene, Booka Shade are known not only for their original work, but also for iconic remixes of artists such as Depeche Mode, Moby, The Knife or Hot Chip. Their music is lively and visionary, which they prove on world stages from Coachella and Glastonbury to the famous Red Rocks. Since their breakthrough performance at Sónar in 2005, they have maintained a reputation as one of the best live acts in the world and made it into the TOP 5 according to Resident Advisor. They also performed alongside Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk.
Their work is also being recognized by a wide mainstream audience thanks to performances at festivals such as Montreux Jazz Festival and Lollapalooza, where they appeal not only to electronic music enthusiasts. Book Shade's work was also recognized by BBC Radio 1, where they were inducted into the Pete Tong Hall of Fame. Since 2013, they have been publishing under their own label Blaufield Music, where they also support new talents. They have been in the Beatport TOP 100 for a long time.
