About

A loveable star dominating multiple musical spheres

Since achieving mainstream success as a rapper in 2015 with his quintuple-platinum single ‘White Iverson’, 18-time Grammy nominee Post Malone has defied categorisation thanks to his eagerness to experiment and collaborate beyond the confines of traditional rap.

From famously christening himself using an online ‘rap name generator’ and citing his love for Guitar Hero as the driving impetus to become a performer, Austin Richard Post, AKA Post Malone, has come a long way. Today, the multi-hyphenate rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and regular footwear collab designer at Crocs, is currently ranked 18th in the world on Spotify. Having ascended to the very top of mainstream music, the New York-born, Texas-raised artist has amassed a devoted fan base whose support only deepens as he casually veers from one distinct genre to another. Of his six studio albums, Post Malone ticks off rap, pop, hip-hop and country, accumulating countless chart-topping and diamond-certified hits along the way, from the melodic-trap refrains of ‘Congratulations’ to the alternative pop-rock influenced ‘Circles’.

Collaborating with some of the biggest names in music, Post Malone’s genre-blending abilities have led to some intriguing crossovers, such as ‘Rockstar’ with 21 Savage, which dominated the charts in 2017 for its moody production and lyrics denouncing fame and excess, or his melodic pop collaboration with Swae Lee on ‘Sunflower’, which appeared on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Elsewhere, Post Malone has further proved his versatility by appearing on works from Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Noah Kahan, Justin Bieber and more. In 2024, Post Malone’s album F-1 Trillion saw the artist return to his Dallas roots and affirm the current country music renaissance, calling upon some of the genre’s biggest stars to bolster the 18-track effort. Taken from the album, ‘I Had Some Help’ offers a honky-tonk dive bar anthem featuring heavyweight Morgan Wallen, which broke Spotify's single-day country streaming record with nearly 14 million streams, meanwhile ‘Have The Heart’ sees Dolly Parton lend her vocals.

Away from his prowess as a beloved musician and performer, Post Malone’s widespread appeal can be accredited to his willingness to grapple with the pitfalls of fame, and his own struggles with loneliness, heartbreak and substance abuse. An imposing figure with distinctive face tattoos, Post Malone doesn’t shy from vulnerability, and instead bridges the gap between rap and pop fans, harnessing his unique vocals and pained lyrics on fan-favourite tracks such as ‘I Fall Apart’ and ‘Goodbyes’.

In 2025, Malone announced The BIG ASS Stadium Tour, including a show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 7 September 2025.
