Sixty-one year old Seal, a Brit of Nigerian-Brazilian descent, is one of the most distinctive singers of all time thanks to his rich mahogany voice and has left an indelible mark on pop, R&B, soul and dance music with his ten studio albums. Since 1991, he has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, recorded more than 1 billion streams and won four GRAMMY® Awards, three BRIT Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and one MTV VMA.
Seal is a maximalist, not only with his height of 195 centimetres, his four children, but also with his forty-three singles, a large number of which have scored chart points in both the UK and the US. Songs such as "Killer," "Crazy" and "Kiss From A Rose" reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, won GRAMMY® Awards for "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year" and graced his 1994 quadruple-platinum epic Seal II. Music blog Stereogum likened the album to "a radio wave sent across the universe from a much, much more bearable planet."
