Venue Details
Lucerna – Great Hall
The Great Hall is the main venue in the Lucerna Palace, which is situated on the corner of Wenceslas Square and Štěpánská Street in the Borough of Prague 1. Featuring three underground floors with a seating capacity of 4,000 spectators, the legendary hall was completed in 1920. It is 54 meters long and 25.5 meters wide. The dance floor has an area of 42 by 16 meters.
Being a part of the Lucerna Passage, the Great Hall is accessible from several directions. The entrance on Štěpánská Street provides the best access, but visitors can also use passageways from Vodičkova Street and Wenceslas Square.
Parking
Parking in the city center is reserved for local residents and requires a special permit. Visitors can park their cars in the orange zone, where parking charges apply. Visitor parking in the orange zone near the Lucerna Palace is available on Wenceslas Square, Jindřišská Street, Palackého Street, and Vodičkova Street. Parking in the visitor zone is free every day from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Another option is using public paid parking facilities on Wilsonova Street and Washingtonova Street. Public Transport
The closest Metro station is Můstek (transfer point between Lines A and B). In exiting the station, take the Václavské Náměstí exit. Another nearby Metro station is Muzeum, on Line C. Likewise, exit using the Václavské Náměstí exit.
If you travel by streetcar, get off at the Václavské Náměstí stop on Vodičkova Street. This stop is served by streetcars during night hours.
A stop served by nighttime buses is located near the Muzeum subway station, which bears the same name – Muzeum.
Box Office
The box office is open only on the days on which events are held, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (or as per arrangements with the organizer).
A Ticketpro outlet, where tickets to events held in Lucerna can be purchased, is located in the nearby Rokoko Passage, which is about 50 meters from the Lucerna box office.
The Ticketpro outlet is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Since its opening, thousands of performers have graced Lucerna's stage. Some of the most notable past events include star performances delivered by the New York Philharmonic conducted by Arturo Toscanini, cellist Pablo Casals, violinists Jan Kubelík, Jaroslav Kocián, Josef Suk, and Yehudi Menuhin, opera singers Fedor Chaliapin, Emmy Destinn, and Otakar Mařák, French singer Maurice Chevalier, American dancer Josephine Baker, and countless others.
During the postwar period, Lucerna saw concerts by such artists as jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, singer and trumpet player Louis Armstrong, singer Ray Charles, and the Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman Orchestras.
