Born in Bogotá, she started out as a teenager playing drums in a hardcore punk band — an energy she later carried into her solo work, though now she trades guitars for analog synthesizers.

After studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, she began crafting a signature sound that blends dancefloor pulse with deep emotional resonance. Ela Minus works exclusively with analog gear, no computers involved, creating music that lives somewhere between club energy, experimentation, and intimate confession.
