SHAKATAK is an English jazz-funk band formed in 1980.
We will remember their biggest hits such as: Night Birds, Dark Is The Night, Down On The Street, Invitations, Streetwalkin’, and many other iconic tracks.

The band combines intelligent musicianship with a sense of fun that strongly resonates with global audiences. In the 1990s, the band achieved success in the USA, releasing two albums that topped the charts.

In Japan, the band received a Japanese Grammy for Best International Instrumental Album. SHAKATAK regularly tours around the world. Notable performances include the Jakjazz Festival, the International Jazz Festival in Jakarta, as well as shows in Bangkok, Hua Hin, and the Bratislava Jazz Days.

They perform annually at Billboard Clubs in Japan and at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London, among many other concert and club stages. In 2024, the band celebrated 44 years of existence.

SHAKATAK consistently tours the UK, Europe, and the Far East, and almost every year releases a new album, proving that the interest in their unique sound remains strong.

Since then, TOP DREAM COMPANY has earned a solid position on the Czech funk scene and regularly ignites the crowd of anyone who even slightly loves music. The fact that the band has shared the stage with world-renowned acts such as Kool & the Gang, Freak Power, Victor Wooten, and Cory Henry is just another logical step in their journey. Whether it's a party in a club or an open-air concert, these eleven musical personalities, led by singer Jakub Vaňas, will light up the stage and fill you with the best energy.
